In 2001, the Maryland Department of Transportation's Office of CHART received the Federal Highway Administration's 2001 Outstanding Traffic Information Web Site Award. Award Evaluation criteria included the availability of information on current conditions, incidents, construction notices, high occupancy vehicle lanes, tools and the extent to which useful information and links are provided. The usability of the site (http://www.CHART.state.md.us) was judged based on factors such as organization of information, navigation, and the ways in which information is described to the users.
