Maryland Approach Spans
Aerial view looking west at the construction of the second span of the Wilson Bridge. The first span opened to traffic in mid-2006 with the second bridge scheduled to open in mid-2008. The bridge span to the right is the old Wilson Bridge which was left in place (over the Potomac) to facilitate construction of the second span.

Note: Small bridge structure (bottom left of the picture), will be the pedestrian/bicycle path that will open in 2008.
