Upcoming Overnight Work at Telegraph Road Interchange

Beginning Monday evening, June 7, crews at the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project will begin tightening bolts on a new ramp in the Capital Beltway (I-95/495) Telegraph Road interchange.

Bolt tightening will continue during the evening hours of between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. during the week of June 6, and will create no traffic impacts as the work is outside of active travel lanes. Noise monitors will be present to ensure that noise is within a predetermined threshold.

This overnight work is in preparation for three new ramps scheduled to open during the 2010 Telegraph Road construction season designed to significantly improve traffic flow from the Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) and Telegraph Road North to the Eisenhower Valley. When the final ramps open in the Fall, they will decrease traffic volume and improve traffic flow and safety on Telegraph Road North.

We regret any inconvenience this work may cause and appreciate your understanding as we strive to complete this and all of our work related to the Telegraph Road interchange and Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project as quickly as possible.
