July 12 Concrete Deck Placement Rescheduled

Work Cancelled Due to Rain

Due to a significant chance of rain, the concrete deck placement over the Capital Beltway (I-95/495) as part of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project, originally scheduled for Monday evening, July 12, has been postponed. The new deck placement date is rescheduled for Wednesday, July 14.

Beginning at 9 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, crews will narrow the roadways to two lanes on both loops of the Beltway in order to accommodate concrete placement on the new ramp from the Outer Loop to Telegraph Road North. Work is expected to be complete by 5 a.m. the following morning, Thursday, July 15.

The closures associated with this deck placement are as follows:

Capital Beltway I-95/495 and Telegraph Road - Night Work

Wednesday, July 14 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:

• Capital Beltway Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) and Inner Loop (I-95/495 South) will be narrowed to two lanes.
• Telegraph Road North to the Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) ramp will be closed.
  • Detour: Motorists should take the ramp from Telegraph Road North to the Inner Loop, onto the ramp to Telegraph Road South, then the ramp from Telegraph Road South to the Outer Loop. 
• Inner Loop (I-95/495 South) to Telegraph Road South ramp will be closed.
  • Detour: Take the ramp to U.S. Route 1 South to Huntington Avenue West to Telegraph Road South.
