TELEGRAPH ROAD AREA CHANGES
Wednesday, Nov. 30 – Traffic shift for southbound traffic on Telegraph Road
-
Beginning at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, the left lane of southbound Telegraph Road will be closed and one lane will remain open until traffic is shifted onto the newly completed section of the bridge over Cameron Run. The left southbound lane will reopen in the afternoon, but motorists should note the new traffic pattern in this area. The work will involve connecting the bridge to the current southbound lanes of Telegraph Road with asphalt pavement placed during the day. The intent is to start early and reduce the impact to southbound traffic by late afternoon. Ramps will remain open during this operation to minimize traffic impacts. Motorists should be advised of delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Thursday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 2 – Closure of Outer Loop ramp to Huntington Avenue
-
Beginning at 7 a.m. on Thursday, December 1, the ramp from the Outer Loop LOCAL lanes to Huntington Avenue will be closed continuously until 4 p.m. on Friday, December 2. The portion of the ramps to N. King’s Highway and Telegraph Road South will remain open during this time. Motorists traveling on the Outer Loop LOCAL lanes wishing to go to Huntington Avenue will be advised via variable message signs to proceed to U.S. Route 1 to Huntington Avenue. This closure is necessary to widen the ramp to Huntington to the planned dimensions, which was not possible during the various phases of construction of the interchange.
Please use caution when traveling in this area. All construction-related work and dates are subject to change, depending on weather, material and contractor availability or other unforeseen conditions.
