The favorable bidding climate has allowed for advancement in both Maryland and Virginia. In Maryland, MSHA anticipates advertising all remaining contracts for completion in 2008. There will be one more contract at the I-295 interchange and two more contracts at the MD 210 interchange to award. In Virginia, the Telegraph Road Interchange will be separated into three or four additional contracts, although the interchange is anticipated to be completed in 2011, according to the current schedule.
With over $1 billion worth of construction contracts either completed or underway, the Project’s 2004 Financial budget reflects the latest information.
Many Disadvantaged, Minority and Women owned businesses that have been able to secure over $184 M in contracts in design and construction contracts.
