Project Team
The Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project is the largest public works project in the
mid-Atlantic region. The seven and a half mile long project will replace the
current bridge and four interchanges adjacent to the crossing that are important
to its efficient operation. The Project is being sponsored by four cooperating
agencies, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Virginia Department of
Transportation (VDOT), Maryland State Highway Administration (MSHA), and the
District Department of Transportation (D.DOT). The Sponsoring Agencies are
being assisted by a General Engineering Consultant, or GEC.
